Convert scanned (image-only) bank statements to CSV

The client emailed photos or a scan instead of a real PDF. Most converters return an empty file. Upload it here instead.

What you get back

Converters stop at a raw dump

A plain PDF-to-CSV tool hands you uncategorized rows and you still spend the evening assigning accounts. LedgerDrop categorizes against the chart of accounts you paste in and flags the rows it is unsure about, so reviewing is faster than re-keying.

Trust the confidence flags, not the tidiness

A scan produces output that looks just as clean as a digital statement, which is exactly the danger — a misread digit is invisible once it is in a table. Every row carries a confidence score and the uncertain ones are highlighted, so on scanned documents the flagged rows are the ones that genuinely need your eyes.

Questions bookkeepers ask

Do I need a bank feed or online banking access?

No. It reads the PDF you already have, so it works for closed accounts, old periods, and banks that never offered a usable feed. You only need the statement file itself.

Does it work on scanned or image-only statements?

Yes. The statement is read by a vision model rather than a text parser, so scans and photographed pages are handled. This is usually where plain PDF-to-CSV converters return an empty file.

Will it categorize against my client's chart of accounts?

Yes — paste the client's categories and transactions are mapped to those rather than to generic buckets. Without a pasted chart of accounts it falls back to a standard small-business one.

How do I know the numbers are right?

Every row carries a confidence score and low-confidence rows are highlighted, so you check the handful that are uncertain instead of re-reading the whole statement. Categories are editable in one click and the correction is kept.

What format can I import into QuickBooks?

A QuickBooks-ready 4-column CSV (date, description, credit, debit), or a fuller CSV that also carries categories and confidence scores. The same files import cleanly into Xero and most other ledgers.

What happens with overlapping statement periods?

Duplicate transactions across documents are detected on date, amount and description, flagged in the review table, and excluded from the QuickBooks export — which is how double entries usually sneak into a set of books.

What does it cost?

The first 20 pages are free with no card. After that it is $19 for 50 pages or $49 for 200, one-time rather than a subscription, and credits do not expire. A page is a PDF page, not a transaction.

What happens to the statements after conversion?

Files are processed to produce your CSV and are not sold or shared. Don't send anything you would not be comfortable emailing — and if you need a signed agreement before uploading client data, ask first.
